But that's not all! All cards can be upgraded! Every card has a unique upgraded version (which doesn't always just increase stats!). Combined with upgrades and Void Stones, you can turn any humble card into a mainstay of your card-playing strategy.

Fast-paced combat

The card combat in Void Vault is fast-paced and familiar, with some subtle unique twists.

While you regain some energy at the start of each turn, discarding cards is where you make the final decisions about which cards you should play, and which cards you should sacrifice to prepare for the next turn. Right-click a card to discard it, send it to the discard pile, and gain 1 energy.

You gain threats when an enemy attacks. At the end of your next turn, threats trigger and deal equal damage. Playing a Block card can reduce threats, but you need to balance attack and defense.

The way threats work takes a huge psychological burden off the player. You no longer have to go through complicated calculations to figure out how much block you need. If you have 20 threat, you need 20 block!
